“O” Award Life time Achievement for Mr Robert Pyne Sr. founder of Williams Trading Co.

Robert Pyne Sr., founder of the influential distribution company Williams Trading Co., was recognized last night for his contribution to the adult industry with an “O” award for Lifetime Achievement. Joined by three of his children- all of which are now involved in running the business- he took to the stage to accept the recognition.

The AVN show, which took place at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino as part of the AVN Novelty Expo, saw Mr.Pyne cheered on and applauded by not only his peers, but also by the many friends and business partners he has made in the industry who laud his incomparable impact.

A once Philadelphia firefighter, Mr.Pyne looked for ways to supplement his income. What started as selling 8mm stag films from his car, expanded into a lucrative business distributing a variety of products. Before the distributorship that still stands today, as a 40 year testament to his vision, Mr.Pyne also opened his own store in 1972.

Now retired, Mr.Pyne spends time with his wife Carol and dog Misty, and enjoys playing Texas Hold Em’. His children all play key roles in maintaining the enterprise he started so long ago with just ambition and his knowledge of what was really in demand. They attribute their competitive intelligence and negotiation skills to their father, who they credit with teaching them to be business-minded, yet foster important relationships with vendors and clients.
